The franchise is teaming up with Uber Eats and DoorDash to launch home delivery by the end of the year. The pizza chain has 65 locations in eight states, including the following in Bergen/Passaic counties:

  • Clifton
  • Englewood
  • Fair Lawn
  • Ramsey
  • Wayne

"It's a whole revenue stream for us," Danielle Guzzetta, chief marketing officer for Anthony's, said. "It's important for us to be able to implement delivery in an affordable way."

Guzzetta said takeout is trending upward and now account for 28 percent of Anthony's business.

"People are eating less and less in restaurants," Guzzetta said. "They spend less time to have a meal. A lot of people simply don't go out anymore," Guzzetta said. "They don't leave their office."

Anthony's is known for its pizza, wings, and meatballs, all cooked in a coal-fired oven.

"We don't have freezers, everything is made to order from scratch in the oven," Guzzetta said.

Legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino is a partner in the restaurant, and put his name on the Eggplant Marino Pizza, which features eggplant topped with romano cheese and basil.

"It's one of our top sellers," Guzzetta said.
