3-Day Greek Festival Starts Friday In West Milford

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Greek food, live music, and folk dancing take place at Panagia Soumela in West Milford Friday-Sunday.

Admission and parking are free to the 33rd Annual Pilgrimage and Festival.

Friday, 5-10 p.m., with festival, cultural activities and entertainment.

Saturday, 1-10 p.m.with festival, cultural activities and entertainment. At 7 p.m. there will be Soumela Vespers and a procession of the Icon of Panagia Soumela.

Sunday, 9-6 p.m.

  • 9 a.m. Othros Service
  • 10 a.m. Liturgy followed by the Blessing of the Loaves
  • Noon Procession of the Icon of Panagia Soumela
  • 12:30 Greetings from dignitaries followed by the festival and entertainment accompanied by Pontian Lyre.
