HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Whether it’s a special occasion or simply a lazy Sunday, nothing beats the prized weekend ritual known as brunch. Where else, after all, can you pair gooey pastries and towering Benedicts with endless flutes of mimosas?
Who Has The Best Brunch In Passaic County?
The Brentwood, Totowa
Mack's American Bar, Pompton Lakes
Three nominees are in the running for the “DVlicious best in Passaic County,” each of which is being profiled this week. What follows are some tasty morsels to chew on, giving you food for thought before you click on your favorite.
Keep in mind you can vote multiple times, albeit once per day. Voting ends 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 29th.
Why Go: This isn’t your mother’s brunch. Yes, you can find scrambled eggs, zeppolis and sugar-glazed pineapple ham, but you'll also find a party-harty, festive atmosphere complete with champagne showers, glow sticks, and even bejeweled and feather-headdress-wearing dancers.
Worth Waking Up Fo r: The brunch is actually a themed, once-a-month, adults-only boozy bash that calls on participants to “dress to impress.” Just having wrapped up its sixth season, Bottagra has built on its legendary status to expand its festivities to South Beach in Miami, Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
When: From September to May. Once a month, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those primarily interested in food come early to dine, while the wilder crowd stays on to drink and dance.
Prix Fixe? Depends on if you’re coming early for the rigatoni vodka and chicken francese, or the nightclub offerings with an emphasis on the alcohol.
