Look Up! Oakland Keeps Eyes On Solar Eclipse

OAKLAND, N.J. — More than 100 people hoping for a glimpse of the solar eclipse gathered outside of the Oakland Public Library Monday afternoon.

It was one of the many viewing parties occurring around Bergen and Passaic counties as skies got darker.

The library gave viewing glasses to the first 100 people who showed up, which left many sharing pairs with friends.

Viewers told Daily Voice the event was well-advertised online, and while they would've also gone to Liberty Science Center, the Oakland Library was much more convenient and local.
