Pompton Lakes' Mr Sushi Vies For Top Spot In DVlicious Contest

Where once folks cringed at the thought of raw fish, now they crave it with Passaic County diners putting spicy salmon rolls and yellowtail scallion high on their list of “must haves.”

We asked – and you answered – giving us three of your favorite sushi restaurants. Grab your chopsticks and read below; each eatery is being profiled this week with the winner announced at the end of the month.

What Makes It Good: It's really about the product, said Assistant Manager Ian Carey. "We believe in a high quality with the freshest fish." He also said the restaurant is known for its friendly, knowledgeable staff and attentive service. 

Diners Like: The salmon gets high regards as does the eatery's Pompton roll: spicy tuna roll, deep fried with spicy crab on top, 

Worth Special Mention: The lunch special Mondays through Saturdays goes from 11 am to 2:30 p.m. and includes one appetizer, one soup or salad, and one roll for $8.99; a second roll is $11.99.
