RINGWOOD, N.J. -- Welcome to a summer of health, Ringwood, Wanaque and West Milford. The health departments of those towns have organized a "Tri-Town Holistic Wellness Challenge," and the kickoff event is Tuesday, June 21.
The summer-long challenge directs people to use rich local resources -- from Wawayanda State Park and the Ringwood Botanical Garden to ShopRites, farmers' markets and more -- to live more healthy, vibrant lives.
Activities will include yoga and meditation sessions, walks in local parks, nutrition education sessions and more. Participants get from two to five points for events, and for every 25 points, get a raffle ticket to win prizes.
The kickoff event is from 7-8 p.m. on the 21st, at the Ringwood Public Library, 30 Cannici Dr. If you can't make that event -- at which folks will sign a release form prior to participating in exercise activities -- contact Jessica Kelly at Jessica.firstname.lastname@example.org or 973-831-5455.
