Theater Workshops Can Brighten Winter In Pompton Lakes For Kids, Teens

POMPTON LAKES, N.J. – The Rhino Theatre in downtown Pompton Lakes is offering winter theater workshops designed specifically for children and teenagers.

The Rhino Theatre in Pompton Lakes gives children from Bergen and Passaic Counties and surrounding areas a place to show their theatrical talent.

Starting Jan. 18, a musical theater workshop for kids ages 8 to 14 will be held on Wednesdays from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Students will learn songs and scenes from School of Rock the Musical, one of the most popular musicals currently on Broadway.

In another workshop, kids ages 10 to 18, will learn songs and scenes from Hamilton an American Musical. Workshops begin on Jan. 18, and run from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.

A third workshop series will be held for kids ages 7 to 12. They will learn songs from Free To Be You and Me. The program runs on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., starting on Jan. 21.

An improv and acting workshop will also be held on Wednesdays starting on Jan. 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
