A GoFundMe campaign set up to help Marie Verzillo’s 23-year-old daughter Samantha and her family pay for funeral expenses had garnered nearly $3,000 by Wednesday morning.
“Marie had the special ability to make everyone and anyone feel at home as soon you walked into the bar. She always knew exactly what to say to put a huge smile on your face,” the GoFundMe page states.
Jessica Nichols wrote that she started the GoFundMe to help with funeral costs and help the family get back on their feet. “After all is said and done Samantha is going to have to financially support not only herself but her loving grandmother too,” Nichols wrote.
