Both the mayor and council members -- and folks in the audience -- took an anti-bully pledge:

I promise to do my part from this day forward as a member of the Anti Bully Squad. If I see someone getting bullied, I will step in and speak out. Bullying needs to stop now and I am willing to do my part to make that happen.

The borough noted in a Wednesday Facebook post that it became the country's first Anti Bully Squad bully-free town.
