In about a year the library staff and content will have a new home. The Union Valley Road library can now be found next to the municipal building, while the foundation is laid on a new facility on the other side, Library Director Ricardo Pino said.

The $4.9 million project will greatly increase the size of the library from 6,000 square feet to 17,000, he said.

Although he's had the privilege of witnessing the rebirth, many have worked to make it happen, Pino said.

"Now it's real," he told Daily Voice. "Now there is no imagination anymore."

The two-story building will have room on the second floor for public meetings, Pino said.

Once the library moves to its new home, the old building will likely be used for township administrative offices, he said.

Everyone seems excited, Pino said. The library posted pictures of the construction on Facebook and quickly received several likes.

"This has been a good example of everybody working together to get this done and get this done right," he said. "It's been a great experience."
