Residents Want More Clean Up In Pompton Lake

POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- A project to dredge Pompton Lake to remove sediment contaminated with mercury is about to begin, but some residents want more to be done, according to NorthJersey.com.

The $43 million project is slated to remove more than 130,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediment, but critics are concerned about pollution left behind and feel more should be taken out, NorthJersey.com reported.
