Antonino Lo Faso, 87, West Milford Resident

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Antonino Lo Faso, of West Milford, died on Wednesday, Jan. 4. He was 87.

Born in Italy, Lo Faso immigrated to the United States in 1963, living in the Bronx for 17 years. He then went back to his hometown in Italy for 26 years, then settled in West Milford 11 years ago.

He was a mason with La Scala Construction Company in New York City before he retired. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in West Milford and a member of the Society of St. Anthony in his hometown. 

Lo Faso is survived by his son, Ciro Lo Faso and his wife Carolina; grandchildren Anthony Bretz, and Patrizia Bretz and her husband Bruce; great-grandson Bruce Jr.; and siblings Maria Antonietta LoCascio, Carmela Strano and Rosetta Greco.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalia (Oliveri) Lo Faso, and his siblings, Salvatore, Vincenzo and Giuseppina Lo Faso.

Services were held on Jan. 7, at the Aloia Funeral Home and Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Garfield. Entombment was in Calvary Cemetery, in Paterson.
