Listmeier – who had been in a coma following a motor vehicle accident in May – was a popular custodian at the Clifton High School Annex.
Following the accident, the community rallied to donate more than $20,000 to Listmeier’s family for his care. The GoFundMe page set up to receive donations was created by his cousin, Erin Saba.
“To all those who have donated and have sent prayers. Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts,” Saba shared in an update.
Listmeier was a 2002 graduate of Clifton High School, and he received credits from the Agricultural Landscape and Design from Morris Community College in Randolph.
In lieu of flowers, his family is asking for gift cards to any store where toys can be purchased.
