Elizabeth Scheibelhoffer, 80, West Milford Resident

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Elizabeth (Edl) Scheibelhoffer, of West Milford, died on Monday, Oct. 31. She was 80.

Born in Hungary, Scheibelhoffer lived in North Haledon before moving to West Milford six years ago.

Before she retired, she was a technician with Datascope, in Oakland. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, in Prospect Park, and a member of the Hungarian Guild Hall Club.

Scheibelhoffer is survived by her children, Elizabeth Pordon and her husband Ronald, John Scheibelhoffer and his wife Maryann, and Joseph Scheibelhoffer and his wife Diane; grandchildren Dana, Ashley, Matthew, Alec, Danielle and Krista; and great-grandchildren Aubrey, Austin, Jaxson and Declan; and brother Roman.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Scheibelhoffer, and her sister, Gisele.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Rd., in Franklin Lakes, followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Paul's, 286 Haledon Ave., in Prospect Park. Entombment will be at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, in Totowa.
