LaToyia Jenkins of Butler was one of 14 judges nominated this go-round by Gov. Christie -- all of whom had no opposition.

Jenkins, a Paterson Catholic Regional High School graduate, has been an assistant Passaic County prosecutor since 2002, currently handling domestic violence cases.

Before that, the Rutgers Law School and Morgan State University graduate was with Sciro & Marotta in Paterson. She'd also worked as a staff attorney with Essex-Newark Legal Services.

Final confirmation votes by the full Senate were scheduled for Thursday, before the Legislature takes its summer break.
