Pompton Lakes Ranked Among Best High Schools In NJ

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Bergen Academies in Hackensack was rated the top public high school in the state, according to 2017 rankings released Friday by niche.com.

  • Northern Highlands Regional (No. 17)
  • Tenafly High School (No. 29)
  • Pascack Hills (No. 30)
  • Ridgewood High School (No. 31)
  • Ramapo High (No. 38)
  • Northern Valley Demarest (No. 41)
  • Pascack Valley (No. 44)
  • Fair Lawn (No. 48)
  • Mahwah (No. 53)
  • Park Ridge (No. 55)
  • River Dell (No. 65)
  • Cresskill (No. 66)
  • Paramus (No. 67)
  • Northern Valley Old Tappan (No. 71)
  • Leonia (No. 80)
  • Pompton Lakes (No. 81)

Schools were chosen on a variety of criteria, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, and the quality of colleges to which students applied.
