The flags were planted in Zanfino Plaza last week in memory of fallen United States soldiers who died in Operation Iraqui Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Members of the university’s Student Veterans Organization, as well as fraternities and sororities, aided in the effort. In addition, former U.S. Marine, Augustin Castillo, now a history teacher at Eastside High School in Paterson, participated with 50 of his students.
