RINGWOOD, N.J. -- The New Jersey State Botanical Garden is offering a Carriage House Concert Series in Ringwood that offers an intimate introduction to some of the region's talents, with seating limited to 75.
On Saturday, Arlon Bennett & the Healing Project will bring their smooth song stylings to the Botanical Gardens.
"Arlon Bennett uses the muse, his voice and a guitar to deliver timeless songs that evoke a little Harry Chapin and maybe some vintage James Taylor, plus some great new sounds of his own," organizers note.
"Arlon Bennett & the Healing Project will take you back to the music of your life on a lovely afternoon in the garden."
Tickets are $15 in advance, which you can buy here, or $18 at the door, if any tickets are still available.
The concert begins at 2 p.m. in the Carriage House Visitor Center, and it's sponsored by American Wear.
The next concert in the series is Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. "Abbie Gardner is the fiery Dobro player with an infectious smile who's been touring with Americana darlings Red Molly for the past 11 years, gracing stages from Denver to Denmark, Australia to Austin," organizers note.
"With the band on an indefinite hiatus, Abbie is striking out on her own, with Craig Akin backing her up on upright bass. Contemporary folk at its best."Call 973-962-9534 or the website for more on Botanical Garden events, directions, how to become a member or to volunteer.
