Permanent Traffic Changes To Take Effect As Route 44 Project in Hartford Nears End Permanent changes to two streets in downtown Hartford go into effect Monday as the Albany Avenue (Route 44) Project winds to an end. Starting on July 27 at 7 a.m.: Magnolia Street will change to a one-way heading north from Homestead Avenue to Albany Avenue. There will be no directional changes on Magnolia Street north of Albany Avenue, according to an explanation of the traffic plan by project managers. Northampton Roundabout Detour To Send Vehicles Over the Coolidge Bridge For two to three weeks, motorists exiting Interstate 91 at Northampton Exit 19 will be in for a  long detour over the Coolidge Bridge. The detour is necessary, state officials said, to allow for the construction of a new $8 million roundabout, traffic lights and pedestrian crossing at the Damon Road-Route 9 intersection in Northampton. The detour is set to being July 20 and could last 14-21 days, according to The Daily Hampshire Gazette. Once in place, there will be no going straight onto Damon Road. Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound
Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound A portion of I-395, northbound, near Exit 3 in Webster has been closed early this morning, July 16.  State Police report a rollover accident is the cause of the traffic snarls. The area is predicted to reopen around 10 a.m., according to the Massachusetts State Police live traffic map.  As of 9 a.m., highway traffic was slowed to a crawl by Exit 3 and on the nearby Cudworth Road.
