RAMAPO VETS: Veterans have a new place to gather on Ramapo College of New Jersey’s Mahwah campus, since the college opened its Transfer Center and Veterans Lounge this week.

HIT AND RUN: 58-year-old West Milford woman was struck and killed in a local park at Upper Greenwood Lake by a hit-and-run driver while walking her dog Monday night - and authorities were seeking the public's help finding the person responsible.

FULL DAY K: For the second year in a row, Wayne voters rejected a referendum to implement full-day kindergarten, leaving the township as the only in Passaic County without such a program.

GUN BUST: One ran and was caught while another threw up his hands in surrender as Paterson police grabbed two ex-cons who they said were carrying loaded handguns following a recent area shooting, authorities said Tuesday.
