Urgent Recall Expanded For Popular Pool Toy Over Serious Injury Risks
A popular pool toy sold online for years is now part of an expanded recall because it could seriously injure children. Joyin US Corp. widened its recall to include about 404,000 Sloosh dive sticks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, July 30. The total includes about 254,000 dive sticks recalled in June. The toys violate a federal safety ban and pose an impalement hazard, according to the CPSC. NJ Inmate Murdered Fellow Prisoner: Prosecutor
A 23-year-old East Orange man was charged with murdering an inmate at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Chesterfield, authorities said Friday, July 31. On Friday, July 17, correctional officers found Yasin Sellers slumped on the floor and unresponsive in a prison gymnasium following a religious service, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said. Sellers was pronounced dead at the scene, Bradshaw said. An investigation determined Sellers collapsed after being assaulted by Banton, Bradshaw said.

Services have been set for Michael Bereheiko, the 26-year-old boat passenger killed when the vessel struck a channel marker in Barnegat Bay last weekend. A pedestrian was injured after he was struck by vehicle while fleeing Immigration and Customs Enforcement Friday morning, July 31, authorities said.
