Charles Dreitlein, 67, of Deer Park, was arrested following an investigation into the crash on Roderick Road near Spruce Avenue in West Islip, according to Suffolk County Police.
The teen was riding a bicycle when a motor vehicle struck him at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, in West Islip, police said. The driver continued on Roderick Road without stopping after the collision, authorities said.
