Justin Wagner, 27, of Haskell, “was not intoxicated nor speeding” when his 2016 Ram 2500 struck Susan Fredericks in the Union Avenue Stop and Shop parking lot at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wanaque Police Chief Robert Kronyak said in a joint announcement.

Fredericks “was taken to Chilton Memorial Hospital, where she later died as a resulted of the injuries sustained,” they said.

Wagner has a valid driver’s license, the release says.

No charged had been filed as of Friday afternoon, although the investigation was continuing, authorities said.
