Bergen County Police Go Head-To-Head With SWAT Team, Army Cadets For Charity
Bergen County law enforcement, SWAT team members and U.S. Army cadets will be going head-to-head for charity next month. Battle of the Warriors begins at 10 a.m. at Fair Lawn's Parisi Speed School, Dec. 1. Admission is $10 and will all go to charity. The Paramus Police Department, Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and West Point will compete in nine athletic events ranging from kettle bell rows to tug of war. Food Network Show Contestant Caters Wayne Pet Rescue's Event
Former Food Network's cooking show contestant Ariane Duarte will be catering a fundraiser for a Wayne animal rescue. The event will aid homeless pets and pet victims of domestic violence and is Only Kindness Rescue's second annual event. Duarte was featured on Season 5 of "Top Chef" and also beat Bobby Flay on "Beat Bobby Flay." The fundraiser will include music, a live auction and more. Dog With Hepatitis Among Pets Prayed For At Wayne Church's 'Blessing Of Animals'
Blind dogs, deaf dogs and even one with hepatitis were among the many pets blessed at the Grace United Presbyterian Church's annual "Blessing of the Animals" Thursday. The Wayne church's annual ceremony commemorates the life of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the environment, with singing to and praying for all animals. Every year on Oct. 4 (St. Francis Day), the Grace United Presbyterian Church -- and others in the area -- invite pet owners to have their pets blessed, this year by Rev. Andy Smith.

'Full House' Star Candace Cameron To Make North Jersey Appearance
"Full House" star Candace Cameron will be coming to Bergen County for a signing of her new book "Candace Center Stage." Cameron, beloved for her role as DJ Tanner, will be at Book Ends in Ridgewood at 6 p.m Oct. 16. The book tells the story of a little girl with a passion for dance, but quickly realizes she's no ballerina when her mom signs her up for classes.

Barbershop Raises $2,100 For Baby Who Lost West Milford Mom To Cancer
A Glen Rock barbershop raised more than $2,100 Sunday for a New Jersey baby whose mom recently died of cancer. Christine Modica, owner of the Stag House on Rock Road, organized the event in honor of her friend Alyson Connolly-Randazzo of West Milford. The new mom died Sept. 9 after an aggressive 7-month battle with colon cancer. Proceeds will aid Connolly-Randazzo's baby girl, Isabella. British Royalty To Visit Luxury North Jersey Car Headquarters
A member of the British royal family will be at the new state-of-the-art Jaguar Land Rover North American Headquarters in Mahwah on Thursday. His Royal Highness Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex will join employees to unveil a special plaque and commemorate the official opening of the new headquarters beginning at 1 p.m. Prince Edward -- Edward Antony Richard Louis -- is the third son and fourth child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was third in line of succession to the British throne but now is tenth.

Instagram sensation GirlWithNoJob (Claudia Oshry Soffer) will be performing Thursday evening at Bananas Comedy Club in Hasbrouck Heights.
