Widespread Outage Knocks Service To 73K AT&T Customers For Hours
Thousands of AT&T customers were experiencing an outage Thursday, Feb. 22. As of 9:35 a.m., 73,000 customers had reported an issue, according to Downdetector. The company said it was "working urgently" to restore service and encourages the use of Wi-Fi calling. Customers began reporting issues in the early-morning hours, but the issue lasted well into the afternoon for thousands, Downdetector shoes. The issue had resolved for most customers by 2 p.m.

Guests at a Newark Airport hotel are being urged to take a bath instead of a shower as Legionnaire's bacteria was found in water samples. The Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel in a letter to guests said a "remediation process" is underway in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Health and the City of Elizabeth Department of Health and Human Services. Temporary homes are needed for eight dogs rescued from a suspected dogfighting ring in Monmouth County, officials said. The Monmouth County SPCA gave an update on Tuesday, Feb. 13 on the dogs, which were recovered from a home on Embury Avenue in Neptune Township on Saturday, Feb. 3. New Jersey residents played a lot of lottery in 2023: More than $3.7 billion worth. An audit report released by New Jersey Lottery for 2023 revealed a record $3.73 billion in sales, an increase of 2.55 percent increase from the prior year.
