A 34-year-old Orange County man failed to resurface after diving into a Dutchess County creek, leading to an extensive search that ultimately led to the recovery of his body, police said.
The incident began at around 7:34 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the area just southeast of 508 Fishkill Ave. in Beacon. There, police, firefighters, and EMS crews were dispatched after receiving a report that a cliff diver had gone underwater and did not come back up, according to Beacon Police.
